Luca J. Uberti

Hello and welcome!

I am a Post-doctoral Researcher in the Department of Economics and Management at the University of Luxembourg. I am also an Affiliate Member at the UCL Centre for Comparative Studies of Emerging EconomiesSchool of Slavonic and East European Studies, University College London (UK).

My  research interests are in political economy and applied economics. In particular, my work investigates the causes and consequences of corruption, institutional quality and cultural norms, focusing specifically on emerging economies. I also have an interest in growth and development, and the economics of post-socialist transition.

My work is multidisciplinary, combining insights and methods from both economics and political science.

I have done extensive fieldwork research in Kosovo and Albania and I have provided policy advice to USAID, Kosovo's Ministry of Trade and Industry, and the U4 Anti-Corruption Resource Centre in Bergen, Norway.
